The local heroes at the MXGP of Switzerland in Frauenfeld-Gachnang on April 19 and 21
The 2025 Motocross World Championship is in full swing and will stop off in Frauenfeld-Gachnang on the Easter weekend for its sixth round of the season. The MXGP of Switzerland will once again be split into two parts on April 19 and 21, as the training and qualifying Saturday will be followed by a rest day on Easter Sunday. The main program with the rounds of the world championship classes MXGP and MX2 as well as the second heats of the two European Championship classes EMX250 and EMX125 will then take place on Easter Monday.
Swiss fans in particular will not want to miss anything, as this time there are Swiss riders competing in all World Championship and Support classes.
In the top MXGP class, the participation of permanent world championship riders Jeremy Seewer and Kevin Brumann as well as Valentin Guillod, who has been demoted to world championship frequent rider, is a matter of course. It was also to be expected that former World Championship permanent starter Arnaud Tonus would roll up to the starting gate at his home Grand Prix. With Loris Freidig, Robin Scheiben, Nicolas Bender and Flavio Wolf, the cantonal state currently has eight starters.
Last year at the same venue, there were no Swiss riders in the "small" MX2 world championship class, but in 2025 Mike Gwerder and Remo Schudel will face the competition here.

The two European Championship classes also have a strong line-up once again. In the EMX250, hopes are pinned primarily on Nico Greutmann, sixth overall in 2024, who will be joined by Arthur Steffen, Kjetil Oswald, Noe Zumstein and Noryn Pulsini.

In the EMX125 class, Ryan Oppliger, Marc Liechti, Emil and Toni Ziemer and Dany Henzer represent the Swiss cross.
