Motocross track and paddock receive the finishing touches

 

The many hard-working helpers have been in MXGP fever for weeks, but now the excitement is also rising for some of those still directly or even indirectly involved. Before the training and racing action really gets underway at this year's MXGP of Switzerland in Frauenfeld on Saturday and Sunday, August 24 and 25 respectively, the track, the track surroundings and the paddock will be spruced up and given the finishing touches.

 

The racing teams' "claims" are staked out and the "paddock" tent city is growing on the grounds of Schweizer Zucker AG in Frauenfeld. The team tents are also gradually filling up and the motocross bikes are being prepared for their next big outing.

 

If you want to see the progress of the work for yourself, get in touch with one or two drivers and long for the first roar of the engines, you can stroll through the paddock on Friday with free admission or see for yourself the status of the work already completed at the Schollenholz race track a little further up in the village. In addition, tomorrow afternoon there will be the voluntary start practice sessions, also in the paddock, so a visit is worthwhile in more ways than one.

 

"We are right on schedule with the preparations, which is certainly also due to the good weather. We have very good partners in the World Championship promoter Infront Moto Racing and our local sports organizer, the MRSV Frauenfeld, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them in advance for their hard work," says Willy Läderach in his role as President and CEO of the host MXGP Suisse, giving a slightly euphoric account of what has already happened.
